Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 3 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Australian Training Academy website and your enrolment in our courses. Australian Training Academy is the training arm of Di Pacci Coffee Company Pty Ltd, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 45805, ABN 88 612 612 870), located at 97–99 Chapel Street, Roselands NSW 2196. By enrolling in a course, making a booking, or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or enrol in our courses.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, our Charges, Fee Protection & Refunds Policy, and our Complaints & Appeals Policy.

01About us

Australian Training Academy delivers nationally recognised vocational training and non-accredited short courses, including Food Safety Supervisor certification, barista training and coffee roasting courses, from our academy in Roselands, Sydney. As a Registered Training Organisation, our nationally recognised training is delivered in accordance with the Standards for RTOs and the requirements of the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

02Enrolment and training agreement

By accepting these Terms at the time of enrolment, you enter into a training agreement between you and Australian Training Academy. Before enrolling, you should ensure you have read and understood the course information provided — including the course structure, delivery mode, duration, entry requirements, fees and charges, and the services provided. If you have not read this information, you should not complete your enrolment until you have done so.

You are responsible for ensuring the information you provide at enrolment is accurate and complete. Where a course leads to a nationally recognised qualification or Statement of Attainment, you are required to provide a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI). You can obtain a USI at www.usi.gov.au.

03Course information and changes

We take care to ensure course information is accurate at the time of publication. However, course content, fees, schedules, trainers and delivery arrangements may change. Course commencement may depend on sufficient enrolments and on our meeting accreditation and registration requirements. Where a scheduled course does not proceed, we will contact you to arrange an alternative or a refund in accordance with our refund policy.

04Fees and payment

All public course bookings require full prepayment at the time of registration unless alternative payment arrangements have been agreed with us in writing. Fees for each course are set out in the course advertising material at the time of booking. No additional surcharge is applied for credit card transactions.

In line with our obligations as an RTO, we do not collect a pre-payment above the threshold amount of $1,500 from an individual student at any one time. Where a course fee exceeds this threshold, we will advise you of the available payment arrangements. Full fee, payment and fee-protection details are set out in our Charges, Fee Protection & Refunds Policy.

05Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing prior to the course start date. Our standard cancellation terms for public course bookings are:

  • 7 or more days' notice before the course start date: eligible for a refund of 70% of paid course fees.
  • Less than 7 days' notice: no refund will be issued and all fees will be forfeited.

Refunds may also apply in other circumstances — including where we cancel a course without offering an acceptable alternative, or in genuine extenuating circumstances (for example, on medical grounds) supported by sufficient evidence. Refunds are assessed and approved in accordance with our Charges, Fee Protection & Refunds Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

06Attendance and conduct

You must arrive ready for class before the stated start time. Late arrival may affect your ability to complete a course, as full participation is required to meet assessment requirements. If you are delayed, please contact us before the class begins.

We are committed to a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment. We do not tolerate discriminatory, unsafe or disruptive behaviour, and we reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from a course, any person whose conduct places others at risk or prevents effective delivery of training. No refund is payable where a student is refused entry or removed for such conduct.

07Assessment and certification

To be awarded a qualification or Statement of Attainment, you must satisfactorily complete all assessment requirements and be deemed competent. Where you use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist with assessment, you must do so ethically and must not submit AI-generated content as your own work. Plagiarism or misuse of AI is treated as academic misconduct and may result in a "Not Yet Competent" outcome or cancellation of enrolment.

We may withhold issuing a qualification or Statement of Attainment until all fees have been paid in full. Certificate timing and any replacement certificate fees are set out in our fees and student information.

08Intellectual property

All content on this website and in our course materials — including text, graphics, logos, images and learning resources — is owned by or licensed to Australian Training Academy / Di Pacci Coffee Company and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or commercially use this content without our prior written permission. Course materials are provided for your personal, educational use only.

09Website use

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, security or availability. Any orders or bookings placed through the website are subject to acceptance by us. Prices and course availability are subject to change without notice. Our website may contain links to third-party sites, which we do not control and are not responsible for.

10Limitation of liability

Our courses and website are provided in good faith. To the extent permitted by law, and except for guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability arising from your enrolment or use of this website is limited to the amount paid for the relevant course. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11Privacy

We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy and VET data-provision requirements. By enrolling, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described there, including any reporting we are required to make as a Registered Training Organisation.

12Complaints and appeals

If you have a concern about a course, an assessment decision or any aspect of our service, you can raise it through our Complaints & Appeals Policy, which sets out how to lodge a complaint and how it will be handled.

13Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The current version will always be available on this page with the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the website or enrolment after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
