About Us

Roselands · Sydney · RTO 45805

Sydney's hands-on home for coffee training.

Australian Training Academy is the training arm of the Di Pacci Coffee Company. From our Roselands headquarters we've spent more than 15 years teaching people to make great coffee — on the same commercial machines they'll use in real cafés.

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 45805), we deliver both nationally recognised qualifications and practical, skills-focused courses — for complete beginners, working baristas, café owners and home coffee lovers alike.

Coffee courses

Built by a coffee company, for real café work.

Most barista schools teach in a classroom. We teach in a working coffee business. Australian Training Academy grew out of Di Pacci Coffee Company — one of Australia's leading coffee machine specialists — so our students learn on professional espresso machines and grinders, not domestic equipment built for a kitchen bench.

That difference matters. When you train where cafés actually buy their machines, the skills you build transfer to the floor from day one. You learn to read a shot, texture milk, dial in a grinder and keep a machine clean the way a real café expects — because that's exactly the environment you're standing in.

Over 15+ years we've trained complete beginners stepping into their first hospitality job, home enthusiasts chasing the perfect flat white, and café teams sharpening their craft. Our trainers don't just demonstrate technique — they explain the why behind every variable, so you can adapt to any bean, machine or café you walk into.

Practical training that gets you working.

Every course is built around doing, not watching — a clear arc of demonstration, guided practice, then independent execution until the skill is genuinely yours.

01 — Equipment

Real commercial machines

Train on the same professional espresso machines and grinders found in working cafés, so your skills transfer straight to the job.

02 — Method

Hands-on from the start

You pull the shots, texture the milk and make the drinks yourself — guided every step by an experienced trainer.

03 — Class size

Small groups, real attention

Group classes stay small and 1-on-1 sessions are fully private, so you get genuine feedback rather than getting lost in a crowd.

04 — Trainers

Years of café experience

Our trainers teach the principles behind the craft, not just memorised steps — knowledge you can carry into any coffee setting.

05 — Recognition

Accredited & certificate options

Choose nationally recognised units (SITHFAB025, SITXFSA005) for career progression, or a hands-on certificate course to build skills fast.

06 — Location
