Data Reporting About Courses & Operations

Australian Training Academy — Di Pacci Coffee Company, RTO 45805. Our approach to Quality Indicator reporting under the National VET Regulator (Data Provision Requirements) Instrument 2020.

Preamble

The data provision requirements apply to National Vocational Education and Training Regulator (NVR) registered training organisations and decisions of the National VET Regulator.

Purpose

The Quality Indicators are survey tools used by all RTOs in Australia. They give the government evidence-based data that assists in the evaluation of the Australian vocational education and training system. The requirements for RTOs are provided in the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator (Data Provision Requirements) Instrument 2020.

These policies and procedures assist The Di Pacci Coffee Company, RTO 45805, to meet the requirements of the following standards:

Clause 2.2 (b) — The RTO systematically evaluates and uses the outcomes of the evaluations to continually improve the RTO's training and assessment strategies and practices. Evaluation information includes, but is not limited to, quality/performance indicator data collected under Clause 7.5, validation outcomes, client, trainer and assessor feedback, and complaints and appeals.
Clause 7.5 — The RTO provides accurate and current information as required by the Data Provision Requirements, as updated from time to time.
Clause 8.1 (c) — The RTO cooperates with the VET Regulator by providing quality/performance indicator data.

How The Di Pacci Coffee Company collects the data and reports to ASQA

We survey using these methods

  • Learner surveys are gathered as printed surveys in courses or through SurveyMonkey.
  • Employer surveys are gathered through SurveyMonkey or direct interview.
  • Data is exported and submitted following the ASQA procedures.
Reporting deadline — 30 June each year

RTOs must submit data relating to the quality indicators on or before 30 June each year, relating to the previous calendar year. For example, data due on 30 June 2024 relates to RTO activity between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2023.

  • The quality indicator summary report is a template on the ASQA website.
  • The final date submissions are accepted is 30 June every year. Non-submission by the due date, or submission of an incomplete summary report, will affect an RTO's risk rating.
  • Quality Indicator data resources and support (listed above) are bookmarked on the ASQA website. We check for currency at a minimum every year.
  • We keep up to date by subscribing to newsletters and receiving notifications from ASQA.

Quality assurance — how we use the surveys in the RTO

These surveys provide useful data on performance in our RTO.

  • We analyse the survey responses.
  • We act on negative ratings and feedback immediately.
  • The data forms part of our internal review and self-assessment reviews against the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.
